Sequencing

Hello!

Well it has been quite a week for me.  I have been out of the classroom for two days so I have a lot of catching up to do when I walk back in tomorrow.  I will be so happy to be back with my students tomorrow.  I will add that the training I have been in for the last days was remarkable!  I loved it! Adaptive Schools is definitely worth the time that you have to be out of the classroom.  The tools and skills I have gained to use in my classroom are outstanding.  I would highly recommend Adaptive Schools to any teacher out there!

Tonight I want to pop in and show you something we completed two weeks ago while talking about sequencing.  Our goal was to be able to sequence a story and identify the beginning, middle and end. We had studied the books Chrysanthemum and Wemberly Worried for two weeks.  We allowed the students to pick out of the two books their favorite. After this we gave them the opportunity to write down three details from the book of their choice on a note card.  We also gave them an additional note card to create a title card.  The students then sequence the note cards and glued them on strips. You can see below an example of their awesome work on this project:

Have a great FRIDAY!
