WELCOME BACK to school! We are now in our third week of school! I am so excited to be back, I have been anxiously awaiting this day to start blogging again! Today I have teamed up with several bloggers from all different areas so we can all make our classroom reveals together because the title is very true...Together we are better!
My classroom is unique in the fact that we are a deskless classroom! This is my first full year to try this. I transitioned to a deskless classroom towards the end of last year. I love it! It has improved behavior and focus in my classroom. The students are able to work in the environment of their choice. We have a table with stools that rock, chairs that sit low to the ground, futons, bean bags, standing desks, a carpet and a regular table with regular chairs for the students to choose from for seating. I was really nervous when I started due to the fact that I have a need for things to be very structured and organized. The results have really surprised me and I love it; I can't imagine teaching any other way now that I have leaped into this idea.
